Wentworth-Gardner Historic House The mission of the Wentworth-Gardner Historic House Association is to preserve and enhance its struc from June 12 through Columbus Day.

Located in the historic South End of Portsmouth, New Hampshire, the Wentworth Lear Historic Houses faces the back channel of the Piscataqua on the corner of Mechanic and Hunking streets. Both the Tobias Lear and Wentworth-Gardner houses are listed on the National Register of Historic Pla

ces. Dating from the mid-1700s, the houses are classic examples of Georgian architecture. The houses are open for tours Thursday through Monday from 11-4 p.m. Tours begin every half hour on the steps of the Wentworth-Gardner Mansion.

What a difference! Work on the exterior of our 1760s warehouse is moving swiftly and looking great! The difference between the bright new and the old weathered shingles is striking. Thanks to a LCHIP grant, the warehouse will be standing strong and looking better than ever for our future events and celebrations.
