The Liberty Aviation Museum receives no government grants or funding to operate our facility, aircraft, watercraft, vehicles or to fund our restorations. All three engines running (center engine is running ok. Prop looks funny because video taken on I-Phone) on the Tri-Motor Heritage Foundation ( THF's Port Clinton Ford Tri-Motor Restoration ) 1929 Island Airlines Tri-Motor earlier today at the Liberty Aviation Museum! A big day at the Liberty Aviation Museum. For the first time in many years hangar 2 had no airplanes in it briefly today. All the airplanes were outside enjoying some sunshine as we rearranged the hangar for our busy winter season.
The 1928 Ford Tri-Motor “City of Port Clinton/City of Wichita”, and the B-25 "Georgie's Gal" are tucked away for their annual inspections. The PBY is inching closer to completion and should be ready to fly by spring. Lake Erie Warbirds' TBM Avenger is closer to the front of the hangar as it may have another flying date or two this season. The THF's Port Clinton Ford Tri-Motor Restoration 1929 Ford Tri-Motor has been moved up to the front line for her much anticipated first engine run to take place in the very near future. Our 1941 Stearman “Harold’s Dream” is in hangar 1 surrounded by classic cars and military vehicles.

Here’s a weekday opportunity to take a ride on Liberty Aviation Museum’s 1928 Ford Tri-motor City of Wichita/City of Port Clinton.
We’ll be flying starting at noon this Thursday August 27 from the Liberty Aviation Museum.
Walk up ticketing only. Main cabin seating $100, copilot seat if available is $200.
