Wonderful news to honor our local WW2 US Navy veteran Leonard Thom of Sandusky, Ohio. The Liberty Aviation Museum WWII PT-728 Thomcat is named after Leonard Thom. Stop by and visit the PT Boat restoration, donate, or lend a hand in restoring this gem so that we can get the boat seaworthy again to give boat rides in Lake Erie!

Earlier today at the Liberty Aviation Museum, our friends from the Army Aviation Heritage Foundation took off for Ashland, Ohio! Their UH-1 Iroquois "Huey" led the way, followed by their AH-1 Cobra helicopter (check out the video of the Cobra in action!). Stop by Freer Field for Saturday's 2026 Veterans Appreciation Event and take a flight in history! Walk up tickets are available! To learn more about the event the helicopters are attending, please visit: https://www.facebook.com/share/19H9pFXmwU/
