AMERCIA GOES TO WAR!

Hear Ye Hear Ye! Come one come all! All able-bodied Men and Women, Boys and Girls to witness living history at the Poquoson Museum! May 16 & 17, 2026! Re-enactors from American Wars; Special information from the prominent local Pamunkey Tribe, a local culture that dates back 12,000 years in Virginia and the first Native Americans to meet Europeans on Virginia's shores! Early American conflicts which include participation in war time in colonial America involved the employment of Privateers or otherwise known as "Pirates"!

Music from each period war era, come listen to the sounds of the ages, food and drinks available. Come tour our local historic farmhouse at the Poquoson Museum! Step back in time for a few hours and learn from living historians!

So much happening at this event you better plan to come both days!! See you there!!

Come join us for some fun and a few scares! Bring a decorated pumpkin for a pumpkin contest. Sscare! pumpkin off between 2 and 4 pm on Friday the 24th! Don't forget to come hear a TRUE Poquoson ghost story...

Hello All! The Poquoson Museum is in need of Volunteers! We have two wonderful options for anyone wanting to help and be involved. If you would like to be a Docent for our Saturday visitors, please message me, Kimmie Whitlow Harrison or Sheila Firth Logan and we will have Mary Clemmons reach out to you. This is 1-5 pm on Saturdays and as much or few days as you like. If you would like to help with events, please message Kimmie or Sheila. This could be as little as an hour a year! Our success depends on donations and volunteers!
Some events we have had in the past were the Haunts, America Goes To War, and Teachers Tours.

Come join us for our annual Christmas Holiday Open House at the Poquoson Museum, 968 Poquoson Ave. We are here until 5 pm and have snacks and warm drinks to serve. We would love to see you!
