Another one complete! Featuring Captain Eric Meyers of Heads-N-Tails Charters. A line up of Capt. Eric’s fleet of boats over a chart style background of Virginia and North Carolina’s coastlines. Among the boats Eric asked me to incorporate several of his favorite gamefish to tie the design all together. I Had a lot of fun with this one in getting to draw some dynamic fish in this design. Hope everyone enjoys and be sure to reach out to Eric if you want to get in on some good fishing!

If you’re looking for a custom design of your own boat or fleet of boats, or any other business send me a message and I’ll do my best to hit your expectations.

All of this cold weather brings back memories of when I duck hunted every chance I got. Had a bit of fun playing around with this one. Attempted to do a digital graphite look with the lab in the top left. Hopefully yall enjoy the design. Fins, feathers, or anything else you can think of just shoot me a message and I’ll be happy to help.

Without further ado. Here’s the latest and greatest piece of artwork. I decided to challenge myself a bit and try to create something that would appeal to captains and anglers on the Chesapeake Bay. I spent some time trying to envision what I thought might be a good theme or composition for this one. The result is what came to mind when I pictured “A day on the Bay”. Featuring a slick calm summer morning along the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. An assortment of boats lining the bridge as they target their intended species of the day. At the center of the composition a large cobia that was just hooked as it pulls away from its entourage. At the water’s surface a female bluuecrabYes that’s me in the tower and my beautiful wife watching on from the deck of our boat. Below the water’s edge became an evolving landscape and composition of its own with a sunken tower boat, car, and connex from a tractor trailer. All of which likely met the same fate on a far less favorable weather forecast. The wreckage and bridge pilings are holding an assortment of spadefish, sheepshead, flounder, spot, and trigger fish. Had a lot of fun creating this one and drawing the sunken boat was a fun challenge.
Lost track of the amount of time I’ve got in this one, as I seemed to want to add something else each time I picked it up.

If you’re interested in seeing a version of this with your boat, crew, and gear in the artwork then send me a message and we’ll get started on it. Or any other compositions.

Hope y’all enjoy!

It never fails whenever I’m working on a new project I always tend to get a new idea for another design. As I was working on my last design, I had the idea of doing an underwater scene along the Chesapeake Bay Bridge tunnel. I spent a few days trying to envision what that might look like and got started. After deciding I wanted the viewers perspective to be at the water’s surface, I started figuring out what species I wanted to include and what angle I’d see them from. Here is the lower portion of the larger design that I’m working on at the moment. After drawing a few dozen boats over the past several years I can say it was far more difficult to draw one on the bottom of the bay than it is floating on top. Fun challenge, just trying something new. Hope y’all like this half of the final design Stay tuned and I’ll reveal the other half in a few days!

This one has been hard to put down lately. I don’t think I ever want to see another mussel again lol. Not ready to sign it just yet. I’ll let it sit for a few days and see how it looks then. Hope you enjoy!

Project update: I’ve added quite a bit of life to this one below the waterline including a bucktail tangled around the buoy chain. I’ve been hesitant to attempt this particular perspective for a while now as it’s definitely tricky to figure out what a fish would see from under the water. Still plenty of room for improvement in my opinion but I’m happy with the way it’s going so far and will continue to play with it a bit more. Hope y’all enjoy it! I’ll likely be getting prints made of the finished product once I’ve decided it’s finished l. If you’re interested in purchasing one just message me.

Here’s the latest and greatest piece of artwork on the drawing board here at Captain Jordan Studio. I’ve been wanting to try and bit of a new perspective for a while now, this digital original is far from finished as I plan to add some growth and barnacles on the buoy. To the right of the buoy will be a tower boat casting at the buoy. Hope y’all like where I’m going with this one. More to come and I will have prints of the finished version available once complete. Let me know if you’re interested in one.
