So, when are you stopping to catch your breath?

A. Before step 50
B. Somewhere around step 100
C. No breaks for me! I'm going straight to the top.
D. I'll just admire the Lighthouse from the ground. 😂

There's no shame in taking a breather. Those views aren't going anywhere!

We're now open!

The Pensacola Lighthouse & Maritime Museum has resumed normal business hours following the hurricane.

We appreciate everyone's patience and support, and we look forward to welcoming our visitors back!

Good afternoon! Today was another mission-essential day on base!

Thanks to our dedicated staff and some outstanding Navy volunteers, we were able to clear the main yards and parking lots of storm debris! Every branch moved and every pile made brings us one step closer to reopening.

We appreciate your continued patience as the Navy, its civilian employees, and contractors work hard to ensure the base is safe for the residents, students, and personnel who call it home each day.

We hope your cleanup efforts are going well, and we look forward to welcoming you all back to the Pensacola Lighthouse on the other side of this!

🌊 Beach day? Lighthouse day? Why choose?

One of the best things about visiting Pensacola is that a day filled with white sand, Gulf breezes, and beautiful water can also include a little history.

Trade the beach chair for your walking shoes, climb to the top of the Pensacola Lighthouse, and see our beautiful stretch of Florida coast from a whole new perspective.

Sunshine, salt air, history, and one incredible view.

Sounds like a pretty good Pensacola day to us. ❤️

Yesterday, essential personnel were allowed back on base to assess structures and begin cleanup following Hurricane Isaias.

Our staff and volunteers inspected all the historic structures on the Lighthouse Station, and we are pleased to report that none sustained damage. Our most significant damage was a large live oak limb that crashed through our east fence. We also lost a shingle from the gift shop, and our roadside sign was blown down.

We spent the day clearing debris from walkways and paths. We will continue clearing the grounds to ensure a safe return for our visitors.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we recover and work alongside the Navy to ensure the safety of everyone who lives, works, and visits the base.

We hope you and your families are doing well as our community continues to recover. Pensacola has weathered many storms, and as always, we will rebound.

Naval Air Station (NAS) Pensacola is open to tenant command mission essential personnel Oct. 12 so they may inspect workspaces in an effort to return to normal operations. Mission essential tenant command personnel are required to follow all safety placard instructions at their command.
