ENCHANTED DRAWINGS: THE MAGIC OF ANIMATION
Featuring Illustrations from the Gerald & Vicki Adcox Collection

Join us for our opening reception on Friday, May 22, from 5-7PM, free and open to the public! We will also have caricature artist, Kathy Buskett, on-site creating free portraits during the reception.

This exhibition focuses on the craft of storytelling through the medium of animation. On view are examples of inventive methods for creating the illusion of movement, different filmmaking techniques, and several classic animated cartoons. Unique illustrations, original drawings, and hand-painted cels from the Gerald and Vicki Adcox Collection provide a vibrant experience of artistic processes, character development, and insights into the golden era of American animation. Objects on loan from the Pensacola History Museum complement the original artwork on display, creating a rich, contextual appreciation for the continuing cultural significance of this art form.
