3 rd day of making suet tallow. They came out beautifully. I am excited because tomorrow I can fill the 2 oz jars and ship them on Monday to FBA. I decided to make unscented tallow balms - 2 oz. This Saturday I am picking up 50 pounds of suet tallow along with meat for my dogs so I really want the balms to be done by Friday. Keep in mind I work full time and I have a family so I have limited time to work on them. But I am positive that they will be finished on Friday and boxed.

Day two of rendering my suet tallow! 🤍 After resting in the refrigerator overnight, the firm tallow cakes pop easily out of their bowls, with no jelly-like layer underneath.

I use only suet—the fat surrounding the kidneys—rather than ordinary fat trimmings. Another step toward your handmade balm, made with love!

Tallow made from fat trimmings would not pop easily from
the bowl and would have jelly - like layer on the bottom of the tallow cake.

Made my deodorant for the Friday event. I usually don’t sell my products on farmers markets or other similar places. I am so excited for Friday 🍓🍓

Tonight I took a clay class and made this little heart-shaped dish for my tallow balm. 🖤

After filling my jars and setting aside a sample for quality testing, there’s often a little balm left to scrape from the mixing bowl—not enough to fill another jar, but too precious to waste. Now I’ll have a special handmade dish for those last little bits, just for me!
