This Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

From all of us at the Florida Railroad Museum, we extend our deepest gratitude to the heroes who served and the families who continue to carry their legacy forward.

As we gather with family and friends this holiday weekend, may we never forget the true meaning of Memorial Day - honoring those who gave everything for our freedom.

We invite you to spend the holiday weekend with us and reflect on the history, sacrifice, and spirit that helped shape America. ā¤ļøšŸ¤šŸ’™

First in line, First Class.

In the backshop this off-season, we have our lightweight coach #5416, due for a long awaited face lift.

Built in 1950 for Union Pacific’s Overland Route trains, the car was eventually sold to the Alaska Railroad in 1971, then to the New Georgia Road in 1987. The Florida Railroad Museum would acquire the car via auction in 1995.

Plans are to renovate the interior of this car with comfortable seating, and a new paint job that will closely resemble those on our other First Class rail cars. Follow us through the summer for updates!

To support these projects, and the museum as a whole, please consider donating or taking a ride with us. Ticketing and schedules are available at frrm.org, or call our ticket office at 941-776-0906 any Wednesday - Sunday.
