Family Movie Night is on! We'll see you soon for "Night at the Museum." Enjoy crafts from 6:30 to 8:30pm. Move starts at 7:30.
This event is FREE, but donations towards our Children’s Educational Programming are greatly appreciated.

Pack a picnic and bring your blankets! There will be plenty of time to play on the Museum’s lawn and enjoy the grounds before the movie starts.

Night at the Museum is a beloved family-friendly fantasy comedy about, appropriately enough, what happens after a museum closes. Starring Ben Stiller and a who’s who of comedy legends (Robin Williams, Owen Wilson, and Dick Van D**e, to name a few). Runtime: 1 hour 48 mins.

Screening will take place behind the Museum under a tent on our slate patio.

Our committee, led by Christina Ward and Cory Needleman turned the terrace and tent into the most beautiful sites on the shoreline. Delightful details at every turn. A big shoutout to our sponsors, the Tangerine Trio, and guest speaker American art scholar Elliot Bostwick Davis! Stay tuned for more photos and videos. Check out the winner of "Best Hat!" 🐝

Thank you for including us, Explore Connecticut! So many wonderful art organizations across our beautiful state!

Connecticut's art scene doesn't get talked about nearly as much as it should, and that's honestly a shame.

This event is included with Museum admission. 🗓 THIS SUNDAY, May 31 at 2pm meet artist Maureen McCabe, featured artist in "Revelations: A Decade of Collecting, 2016–2026," for a lively discussion of her work. "The Lady in Green Theater" explores the visual principles used in camouflage, such as coloration, color theory, and patterning.

As she takes you through her artistic process McCabe shares an assortment of materials, such as the exquisite papers made by Michel Duval, renowned French master craftsman, and patterned ribbons and rocks.

Maureen McCabe (b. 1947), "Lady in the Green Theater," 1984. Mixed media assemblage, 20 1/4 x 5 1/2 in. Gift of David W. Dangremond.
