Treehouse Children's Museum is a nonprofit educational organization where children and families can "Step into a Story" ® through interactive exhibits and programs. Treehouse features dozens of beautiful, original exhibits that invite children and families to "Step into a Story."® Exhibits include the giant Treehouse in the center of the Museum; the One World Village with miniature houses represen

ting countries from around the world; the Utah History and Heritage Gallery with the giant floor map of Utah, the One Room Schoolhouse, the Big Red Barn and Grandma's Farmhouse; The Days of the Knights gallery; the Be the Hero of Your Own Story exhibit; the American Dream Gallery with the United States floor map and Main Street with a diner, police and fire station, a 5 & Dime store, a hospital, and a Green Grocer's stand; The "Walk in the Woods" exhibit; and the Science Circus. Treehouse offers rogramming, including "Step on Stage" theater activities and visual arts activities in the Treehouse Art Garden.

Summer is in full swing at Treehouse Museum! Our wonderful RAMP Play Patio is open Wednesday through Saturday in the morning from 10:30 to 12:30 and then again in the afternoon from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. The Patio has two "River Water Tables" and a new and really cool powered "Water Flow" table that everyone loves. Inside the Museum, we're taking the stage in the Simmons Storybook Theater daily at 1 and 3 p.m. for our signature ParticiPlays® and our Art Garden is blooming with fun projects from 1 to 4 p.m. , too. Treehouse is planning lots of special events this summer as well, including a special July 3 Birthday Party for America! Check out our calendar on our website to see what's "growing on" at Treehouse! (Even the outside of Treehouse is dressed up for summer with art our wonderful Book Club families drew to show the books they loved reading this year! There are a few tickets available for the 33rd Annual Fairy Tale Ball at Treehouse on Saturday, May 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. It's going to be a magical evening, hosted by Snow White and friends, with dancing, puppet shows with Treehouse favorite Randel McGee and his wonderful dragon, games and activities, including a treasure hunt, and making magic mirrors in the Art Garden. It's our wonderful, annual celebration of books this Saturday, May 1. We have some of our very favorite authors flying in from around the country to share their books and party with us at the Tales at Treehouse Children's Book Festival from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Best of all, it's free for your family! During the morning we're closed to the public so that we can offer small group workshops with the authors that are also free. These are perfect for aspiring writers (ages 10 and up), teachers, and librarians. To sign up for the workshops just call us at 801-528-4708.

It's Downtown Poetry Day at the Junction on Saturday, April 11 and Treehouse is setting up on our plaza between 12:30 and 3:30. We'll have a "Poet Tree" activity and poetry-loving storybook characters, too. Alice will be there to recite a poem and hand out bookmarks at 1 p.m. and Winnie the Pooh will join us at 2 p.m. We're also giving away free children's books while they last. Treehouse is open all day for inside poetry-themed fun from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The outdoor activities are free for everyone and the indoor activities are free for Treehouse Members or with admission. Come add a leaf to the Poet Tree, but "watch out for falling rhymes."

All week during Spring Break we are hosting some of our favorite characters from books we love. Each day at 2 p.m we’ll have a different guest for you to meet, including Pikachu, Pete the Cat, Clifford, Winnie the Pooh, and finishing on Saturday with Peter Rabbit. The meet and greet times with the characters are free with admission or membership. On Track to Reading, Treehouse’s program for preschoolers and their grownups, returns on Monday April 6 with an encore visit with Peter Rabbit.

Come and see the Treehouse Team at the free StoryLand at StoryCon in Salt Lake at the Salt Palace. It's happening this Friday and Saturday. February 27 and 28. Hours are 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. both days. StoryLand is just for preschoolers and their grownups. There will be children's book authors, book giveaways, and lots of other organizations there, too, with fun activities. We're excited to bring a bit of Treeehouse to this event and we'd love to have you join us.
