Everyone painted their own beloved horses, and they did an absolutely fantastic job. I’m so proud of each student for bringing so much personality, beauty, and heart into their watercolor paintings.

Ready to take your watercolor skills to the next level? Join me for a beautiful and inspiring class focused on painting realistic skies and clouds!

This class is perfect for students with some watercolor experience. Over 4 sessions (9 AM – 1 PM) starting April 20th, we’ll explore how to paint:

I’m offering a few special workshops this April — each designed for a different level, so you can choose what fits you best:

🦋 April 16 – Watercolor Butterflies
Perfect for beginners and anyone who wants a gentle, enjoyable introduction to watercolor

🪶 April 15 – Grey Heron (Free Stroke Technique)
For those with some experience who want to loosen up and elevate their technique

🍷 April 25 – Glass & Reflections
Best for students with watercolor experience ready to explore transparency, reflections, and depth

🕙 Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM (with a lunch break)

We had such a lovely time at The Preserve this past Saturday 🎨💛

Everyone painted a small beach and ocean scene with a seagull — and I just love how each painting turned out so unique and beautiful!

It’s always amazing to see how quickly everyone relaxes, enjoys the process, and creates something they’re proud of 😊

What a fun and special class today at AR!

I tried a brand new format today — four horse owners came to paint their own horses, and I absolutely loved it. It was so cool to watch each person bring their horse to life on paper. There is something extra meaningful when people get to paint an animal they know and love so deeply.

I have always loved horses, but I was never lucky enough to own one myself, so maybe that is part of why I enjoy horse people so much. They really do seem a little different — calmer, happier, more grounded, and just lovely to work with.

This was honestly one of the easiest and most enjoyable groups I’ve had. Everyone listened, gave 100 percent effort, and every single person finished a beautiful painting.

Days like this leave me inspired and very grateful.

These talented artists created such elegant, expressive irises — each one completely unique! I’m always amazed how the same subject turns into so many different personalities on paper.
