We'd like to thank Rotary Club of Northbrook🐥 for generously giving the Northbrook Historical Society $2,700 a few days ago as part of their annual community grants. With this money, we plan to set up the Judy Hughes Memorial Scholarship which will be open to all Northbrook residents pursuing a trade/vocational educational program, as she was compelled to root for the underdogs in life.

By the way, without the support of the community and our volunteers, there would be no Northbrook History Museum, no archives of Northbrook and Shermerville history, no page - so, thank you also to all of you who choose to contribute monetarily. If you'd like to contribute to the scholarship fund in Judy's name, please visit our website (northbrookhistory.org) to donate. And if you'd rather donate your time, we are always seeking volunteers to help organize photos and documents, scan materials, help with events, and more!

Yesterday was a day focused on helping others. Our club distributed our annual community grants. We were excited to support so many excellent organizations that make our world a better place.

Congratulations to Cancer Wellness Center, C.A.T.C.H., Center for Enriched Living, Center on Deafness, Friendship Circle, GBN Grad Night, Grattitude Generation, Keshet, Noggin Builders, Northbrook Historical Society, Northbrook Symphony, North Suburban Legal Aid, NSSRA, North Suburban YMCA, Out our Front Door, Special Gifts Theatre, Total Link, and Youth Services.
