My latest Pietre Dure stone marquetry piece completed. Polished up all of the faces and edges with cerium oxide and assembled. Making a 3 dimensional piece was a challenge. In the photography, it’s hard capture all the chatoyance. As you walk in front of it, the way the light changes and sparkles is amazing. Even deep black areas in the sodalite reflect the sun. - - - - - - -
