Jamestown Settlement is working with adult Virginia artists, in any medium, to display their art in the 2027 Black Artist Showcase, January 30 - March 28, in celebration of Black History Month and beyond.
Selected artwork will be displayed along the Jamestown Settlement Great Hall passageways leading to the museum galleries.

Join us for the opening of "Jazz Got Loose", a juried exhibition featuring original works of art by
34 Hampton Roads artists or artists with strong ties to the region.

The exhibition highlights a range of interpretations—from rhythmic abstraction to expressive figurative works.

Guest juror, Virginia State Delegate Jackie Hope Glass, selected artwork that resonates with the spirit of jazz and the cultural legacy of the Attucks Theatre.

On view through April 10, 2027.
Gallery hours:
• Select Saturday hours from noon to 4 p.m.
• (Monthly) Thursday night 5:30-7:30pm Art Brew.
• Saturday pre-show performances 6:30-7:30pm prior to all Virginia Arts Festival events.
+ Open to patrons (1) hr. prior to all Attucks Theatre events & open to the public during all free "Arts at the Attucks" events.

Call for sculptors! The Johnson City Public Art Committee is seeking pieces of leasable outdoor sculpture to be installed for two years (May 2027 – May 2029 cycle) in Founders Park and several other sites.
Deadline: 12/04
No fee to apply.
Exhibition dates: May 2027-May 2029
Compensation: $3,000.00 stipend for the 24-month lease of the piece. Hotel accommodations for a total of one night will be provided to accepted artists for installation.
Eligibility: Open to all professional artists, preferably professional sculptors, who are at least 18 years of age and reside in the United States.
Up to 5 pieces may be submitted for consideration.

Call for artists! Create vinyl wrap designs that will transform utility boxes throughout Frederick Maryland into vibrant works of public art.

This project offers two opportunities for artists:
A. Lead Artist + Mentee Opportunity — $1,200 A lead artist will be selected to develop a design for a utility box and will be paired with a mentee artist as part of the project. The lead artist will guide the mentee through the creative process, sharing artistic knowledge and experience Lead artists and mentees will participate in two project meetings.

B. Utility Box Artist — $800 Artists may also submit a design for a utility box wrap with no mentoring obligation.

The Winston-Salem/Forsyth County (WS|FC) Public Art Commission is seeking qualifications from professional artists or artist-led teams to design, paint, and install a mural on two exteriors walls of the Sunrise Towers, an 11-story public housing apartment building in the east Winston-Salem neighborhood.
Budget: $100,000 - $150,000

The Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Public Art Commission is seeking qualifications from professional artists or artist-led teams to install a mural on two exterior walls of Sunrise Towers, an 11-story public housing apartment building in East Winston.

The project is funded through the Choice Neighborhoods Public Art Revitalization Program in partnership with the City of Winston-Salem and ASPIRE.

Friends of Arlington's David M. Brown Planetarium is seeking proposals from artists to design a permanent mural for their main entrance hallway. The selected artwork will be converted into a high-quality vinyl wrap installed directly onto the hallway walls,
transforming the space into an immersive visual experience.
Dimensions & Resolution: The hallway features two distinct curved walls. Artists should design for a canvas that is approximately 8 feet high by 36 feet wide (an aspect ratio of 4.5:1).
