Established in Naples, Florida, in January, 1964 by Foster Harmon, the Harmon-Meek Gallery has been primarily interested in promoting the creativeness of certain American artists dating from 1920 to present. William Meek, III joined the gallery as assistant-director and became director-owner in January, 1978. William Meek has curated and lent more than three hundred exhibitions of gallery artists to more than eighty museums and art centers in more than twenty-six states from coast to coast.

A wonderful explanation of pastel. Sadly under appreciated, but pastel is the purest form of paint. Pastel colors cannot be blended to create different colors. Richard Segalman had thousands of pastel colors in his studio. Layering the pastel colors to create an intricate visual effect in a work of art takes true mastery.
