There's an unmistakable excitement that comes with unveiling a new original, and "Floating on Reflections" (2026) by James Lewis is no exception. As the layers come away, the depth of the oil paint, the movement of the composition, and the craftsmanship behind every brushstroke are revealed.

If Mary Parkman isn't on your radar yet, she should be. 🌸

Known for her expressive abstract florals, Parkman's work transforms inspiration from the natural world into layered, emotive paintings filled with movement, color, and texture. Every canvas reflects an intuitive process: building, reworking, and refining until each composition feels complete.

A Cornell University Fine Arts graduate, Parkman continued her studies with Abstract Expressionists in New York and Italy. Her work has been exhibited in New York, Boston, Atlanta, and internationally, earning recognition for its distinctive balance of abstraction and beauty.
As Parkman describes it, "Underneath the finished painting, there are a myriad of paintings the viewer doesn't see." It's this depth, both visible and hidden that makes her work so compelling.
