From St. Cloud to Sarasota created specifically for this space.

I was commissioned to travel to St. Cloud, Florida, to photograph imagery that would ultimately become two large-scale 12 foot statement pieces for this Sarasota office.

After capturing the longhorn and Florida landscape, we produced the artwork in our Naples studio and completed the installation ourselves. Seeing the entire process come together from standing behind the camera to watching the finished pieces transform the room is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.

Every step, from photography and printing to finishing and installation, was handled in-house.

I’m grateful to have been trusted to create something so personal for this space.

When I photographed these two flamingos, I knew exactly what I was after the graceful curve of their necks, the way they mirrored one another, and what the image could become when brought to life at scale.

I was on a commission shoot this past weekend in central Florida, and the assignment had nothing to do with birds.

Then a pair of sandhill cranes walked into the frame like they owned the pasture. Tall, deliberate, that patch of red skin above the eye catching the low afternoon light. They don't hurry for anyone.

I set the commission work aside for a few minutes and stayed with them. Cranes will tolerate a slow, quiet approach if you respect the distance, so I dropped low, steadied the long lens, and waited for one of them to lift its head.

That's when it called. If you've never heard a sandhill crane up close, it's a rattling bugle that carries across an open field and stops you where you stand.

I came home with the images the client hired me for. I also came home with this one, which I never planned to make.

That's the part of this work I keep coming back to. You go out for one thing, and central Florida hands you something else entirely. 📸

We’re incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Sarah Baeumler Bryan Baeumler of HGTV’s Renovation Island: The Adventure Continues and to have our fine art photography become part of two very special destinations.

Our artwork was selected for Pines & Palms Resort in Islamorada, Florida, as well as the beautiful Caerula Mar in the Bahamas. Seeing our photography incorporated into these incredible spaces has been an experience we’re truly proud of.

Working with Sarah, Bryan, and their team has been such a wonderful opportunity. Their attention to design, sense of place, and ability to create spaces that feel connected to their surroundings made this collaboration especially meaningful for us.

As a Florida fine art photographer, so much of my work is inspired by the coast, wildlife, natural landscapes, and the feeling of being near the water. To see those images become part of destinations like Pines & Palms and Caerula Mar feels like a natural extension of what we’ve always tried to create through our photography.

We’re incredibly thankful for the opportunity and excited to share more of this collaboration, the artwork, and where it has found a home.

That camouflage lens has been carried into the Everglades before sunrise more times than anyone has counted.

Most of what it does is nothing. It hangs from my shoulder in the dark. It sits on the tripod while the sawgrass goes from black to grey to gold. It waits while I wait, both of us still, watching a spot of water where I think a heron might land.

The pressing of the shutter is the smallest part of the morning. A fraction of a second out of hours. People imagine the work is the capture. It isn't. The work is the standing there, reading the light, learning where the bird lands and when, staying quiet long enough that the marsh forgets you're in it.

I've come home with an empty card more times than I'll admit. Those mornings still count. The lens learned something. So did I.

Most of it is waiting. You don't see that part in the print, but it's the part that makes the print possible.

If you've ever wondered why I shoot at first light instead of sleeping in, this is the honest answer. The good moments don't come twice, and they don't come to anyone who left early.

"I've photographed loggerhead hatchlings making this run just a few times and very grateful I could catch this moment. Every single time, I hold my breath.

This one made it to the water's edge just around sunset on Naples beach maybe 50 grams of determination heading into the Gulf. The odds against it are staggering.

That's exactly why the work of Conservancy of Southwest Florida matters. They're in the water, in the courts, and in the field fighting for the habitats that make moments like this possible.

Without healthy beaches, clean estuaries, and protected nesting corridors, there is no photograph. There is no hatchling. There is just an empty shore.
If you care about what Florida still has left, the Conservancy deserves your attention. 🐢"

A client asked me last week if I could make a print for one specific wall. Yes. Sized, mounted, and finished for the exact room it will hang in.

After years of hanging work in homes and offices, I've learned the process comes down to a few decisions made in the right order.

Start with the wall, not the image. Measure it and note how the light moves across it during the day. A print that looks right in my Naples gallery can feel too small or too large once it's in your space. Knowing your dimensions first saves time and money.

Choose your medium early. Canvas, metal, and acrylic each read differently at large scale. Metal pops in bright, modern rooms. Canvas brings warmth to traditional or coastal interiors. Tell me about the room's palette and light before you commit and I'll steer you right.

Then size it. Most buyers underestimate how large a print needs to be to fill a wall properly. My rule: span 60 to 75 percent of the wall's width. Go bigger than feels comfortable and it will almost always look right.

A commission takes the guesswork out. You get art built for your exact space, printed here in the studio.
