Soooo I don’t hate handles anymore?? Don’t get too excited, I still don’t *like* them. But they’re not the end of the world anymore bc I get to hang with my lil barnacle while I do them! So far wearing her while I trim or do handles has been going really well 💗 We’re trying to get it together to get some new work on the website soon!

Okay so I raised one of my wheels so I could babywear while trimming and it worked great. I was hopeful it would work for throwing too, I mean I threw with my pregnant belly so it should work right? No lol. Sure tried, sure didn’t like it at all 😂 The actual throwing part was fine, but I couldn’t get the right leverage to center the clay without smooshing her so it was a real quick no from me. For now I’ll keep throwing while she naps or holds her 🥰

I spent the first 4ish months of the year working super hard -and super pregnant- to make as much inventory as I could before I went on maternity leave during my busiest time of the year. I threw over 1,000 pieces 🤯 I’m so glad I pushed myself and my abilities (also had a lot of help from ) and made all of those pieces because I came back from leave and it’s almost gone 😅 Thank y’all SO much for supporting my biz while I was out! It was pretty nerve wracking to leave for so long but y’all really showed up for me! Megan, mom, & Kayla really held it down. I’ll be restocking stuff as fast as I can once I find my new groove in the studio with Evelyn in there too 💗

August 💗 Back in the studio with my lil barnacle, empty shelves, new work, Nala thinks Evy’s toys are hers, handles 🫠, the last Dowdy Park Market, & getting into our new groove!! It was a good month. Grateful for getting to bring my girl to work with me and for aka Grammy 😘

Trimming with Evy 💗 We raised one of my wheels up on cinderblocks so I could trim while babywearing and it worked out super well!! I’m so glad I get to bring her with me to work 🥹 It really got me wondering if I could throw on the raised wheel while wearing her! I’m gonna try it, I don’t have high hopes but I gotta know 😂

My first day back at work after maternity leave! It’s definitely an adjustment and we’re going to have to figure things out but I am soooo glad I get to bring Evelyn to work with me 💗 Sending the biggest hugs to mommas who don’t get to bc even this change has me emotional. We’ll see how the rest of the week goes and hopefully we find our groove! Idk if I’m supposed to be this honest on here lol but I can’t say I’m happy to be back but at least my job is cool and I like it 😂

08/20/2026

See you there!!
