Ok, let’s make it three weeks in a row!!! Thanks to the interest people have shown, we are continuing our “Thursday night lights.” The JCHS doors will be open tomorrow night from 5:30-8. Come on by and see us for your genealogical and historical needs.

In case you missed our announcement a few days ago, the JCHS WILL HAVE EVENING HOURS this week. Tomorrow, Thursday, May 14, we will be open from 5:30-8 pm. So you have one whole day to pull those history and genealogy questions from your files and notebooks and head on over tomorrow evening. Volunteers will do their best to get you some answers or point you in the right direction. If the interest keeps up and the patrons keep coming, we can turn this into a weekly event throughout the summer.

Well it was successful so we are going to do it again. The JCHS will be open this coming Thursday evening for your genealogical and historical research needs!! We will be open from 5:30 to 8 pm. If we keep getting interest, we might turn this into a weekly event during the summer months. So come see us Thursday night!! Thx for your support!

The Jackson County Historical Society Board of Directors is excited to announce that, effective immediately, Ms. Cathy Bencini has accepted the position as our new Executive Director. A native of Jackson County, Cathy has been a dedicated volunteer with us for several years and we are excited that she has agreed to take on this management role.
