IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Our grand re-opening of the museum is delayed due to unexpected repairs and schedule changes for our volunteers. We are back at it, but we won't be opening on April 19 as planned. We will post the opening date as we get closer to completing our work. We promise it will be worth the wait! Until then, thank you to our volunteers, and we are aiming for a May reopening!

We are a small city with a small historical museum. We are in the process of doing renovation work. We are hoping museum enthusiasts and folks who appreciate history will help support the renovation project we are presently doing. We have a GoFundMe fundraiser to help ofrset the expenses of our renovations.

Day two of painting ceilings and wall walls with primer. Thank you to Valerie, Josh, and Bob Cooper as they tackled painting. A huge thank you to Brian McCormick who painstakingly worked upstairs repairing wallpaper in one room. Mary Hudson plans to be there tomorrow doing some cleaning of cabinet displays in the kitchen and bathroom. We are a strong and mighty and determined crew. All of us are excited about the next few weeks as the painting will be finished and we will then be doing all the detail work on the walls, and preparing furniture for its move into place over the next few weeks. Once all of this is done the new displays will be ready to be installed. We still have quite a bit to do, but we believe the finish line is soon approaching.

We are hoping that people with ties to Munroe Falls, whether in the past or present will support these efforts and become part of our museum enthusiasts! It certainly is not too late to make a donation to our GoFundMe account.

Thank you and keep watching for more updates.

Wow. We start painting today. Here’s a glance of all the walls which have been repaired and smoothed out. All the furniture is gathered and covered so we can begin the painting process. The new exhibits have been put together awaiting our finishing the paint job and arranging furniture. We are so excited to have the community see the renovation work. Keep posted for our opening date.

In the meantime, we can still use some donated money for the purchase of the materials that we have already purchased and will be purchasing. See our go fund me account and please consider us. See the link above.

The purpose of a museum is to serve as an educational tool for the community, and to build community pride. We guarantee you you will find information you never knew about Munroe Falls. We are hoping to gain your support as we would like to continue our renovation work on the second floor of the museum, which is dependent on affordability.

Wow. Our renovation work is moving along. Walls are being ready for painting, displays are being made and framed. Plans for furniture and display items being planned out, and other maintenance work in the house/museum are being worked on. We are still hoping to get some donations toward the expenses for the materials and supplies we need to get the job done. All labor is being done voluntarily so we can keep our cost down. Paint and painting supplies are next on our purchase list. We will also be purchasing more frames for the various displays. So far we have $179 that has been donated, but we could use more. Please consider making a donation on the link on this site. We certainly invite you to come to our grand opening in April to see all the changes we will have accomplished. It has been an exciting time putting this all together… A project that needed to be done to keep things updated and exciting for our visitors and for those wanting to learn more about this very small city in Ohio. Thank you for your consideration and support. We look forward to hearing from you.
