Join us for a thought-provoking lecture series exploring Ohio’s past through Indigenous perspectives, archaeology, and the stories we tell about our shared history.
From the 12th century Fort Ancient village at SunWatch to the impacts of forced removal, changing interpretations of Thanksgiving, and the ongoing work of Tribal Nations to preserve and share history, this series invites us to look deeper, challenge familiar narratives, and build a more complete understanding of Ohio’s past and future. Following the lecture, guests are invited to enjoy exclusive after-hours access to SunWatch. Explore the village at your own pace, connect with fellow attendees, and continue the conversation!

On the second Thursday of each month from September through December, hear from guest speakers as they explore a variety of topics centered on Indigenous history, archaeology, and the stories that shape our understanding of Ohio's past.

Each lecture offers a unique perspective, from the 12th-century Fort Ancient village at SunWatch to the impacts of forced removal, changing interpretations of Thanksgiving, and the ongoing work of Tribal Nations to preserve and share their history, this series invites you to challenge familiar narratives and gain a deeper understanding of Ohio's shared past and future.

After each lecture, enjoy exclusive after-hours access to SunWatch Village. Wander the village at your own pace, connect with fellow attendees, and continue the conversation in this unique historic setting.
