🦖 Meet “Sue” — the most famous Tyrannosaurus rex ever discovered!

Found in 1990 by fossil hunter Sue Hendrickson in South Dakota, Sue lived about 65 million years ago during the Late Cretaceous period. This incredible specimen, excavated from the Hell Creek Formation, is the largest and most complete T. rex ever found — over 90% complete and more than 42 feet long!

💀 The skull alone is massive:
• Nearly 5 feet long
• About 60 sharp, serrated teeth
• Built for one of the most powerful bites in history

Even more rare — Sue is one of the only T. rex fossils ever discovered with preserved front arms!

The real Sue is on display at the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago…

👉 But YOU can get up close to a cast of Sue’s skull right here at the ULM Museum of Natural History!

Come see it for yourself and experience one of the most powerful predators to ever walk the Earth 🌎🦴

•This week marked our last Biology 1023 lab, and we got to finish it in such a cool way at the ULM Museum of Natural History!🦖🦆🦍🐘
•Instead of our usual lab setting, we walked through the museum searching for different species and completing our worksheet as we went. 👀 ✍️
•It was a fun, hands-on way to apply everything we’ve learned this semester and see it all come together. •Definitely a memorable way to wrap up the lab!🥼 🧬
