These past two weeks have been CRAZY!

From all my meet-and-greets to my friends taking me out of my house while I’m NAPPING💤(still offended😑)—I feel like y’all have been here an entire semester!💚

Although I LOVE my naps, I also love seeing all my fans here at the ULM Museum of Natural History! Come by and see me—just maybe schedule your visit around nap time. 😉

🎉 We had a wonderful time tonight at the ULM Museum of Natural History welcoming back our School of Science students! 📚

Students had the opportunity to learn more about clubs and organizations within the School of Science, explore our museum, enjoy some delicious food, and relax with a movie! 🦖🍕🎬

A special thank you to all of the professors and students who helped make this such a fun and successful event! We truly appreciate everyone who came together to make our students feel welcomed and excited for the year ahead.

Welcome back, Warhawks! 🦅

Thank you to our community for making our Summer 2026 'Mystery Monday' series a success. We valued the chance to get to know our participants and hope our 'senior/junior detectives' had fun. The Museum of Natural History's temporary closure during July will enable us to carry out necessary maintenance. We're looking forward to hosting school groups for class field trips and tours this fall. Booking for groups of 10 or more will start on August 24th and can be arranged via email. We hope your summer is wonderful.

Hope to see you tomorrow!

The Bayou Discovery 'Know Brainer' Camp's final day was a resounding success, highlighted by exciting activities. The campers took part in Escape Rooms, visited the Museum of Natural History, and participated in a custom 'white coat pinning' ceremony. Esteemed guests from VCOM and the ULM President's office joined the campers' families and friends to celebrate their accomplishments. Everyone left with their creative projects and artwork, and we are delighted to have fostered the campers' interest in science, which we hope will endure beyond the camp. We anticipate a successful reunion next summer.

Bayou Discovery Camp's fourth day was a dynamic learning experience. While some activities were more structured than others, the enthusiasm remained high (even for the staff). By creating catapults and studying fulcrums, campers gained insight into muscles and bones. Other highlights included target practice, bouncy ball production, and a birthday celebration with cupcakes for a camper. The closing ceremony, scheduled for 11am, will showcase the campers' work; parents and guardians are encouraged to arrive punctually.

We hope to see you there!
