Join us at the Burwell-Morgan Mill as members of the Sons of the American Revolution present a special program on General Daniel Morgan’s legendary Beeline March during the Revolutionary War.

This event will feature a dynamic reenactment of the rapid 600-mile march that made Morgan’s riflemen famous, along with an engaging talk that explores the march’s significance and Morgan’s pivotal role in America’s fight for independence.

This event is free and fun for the whole family!

This event is part of the local Clarke County VA250 programs.

🇺🇸 Continue the celebration of America’s 250th anniversary with two special VA250 events taking place in Clarke County this June. These programs offer unique opportunities to explore the people and events that helped shape our nation's history.

📅 June 6 – *Lloyd Williams and The Marines: A Clermont VA250 Commemoration*
📍 Clermont Farm, 151 Clermont Lane, Berryville, VA 22611

Honor Major Lloyd W. Williams, a Clarke County native and Marine Corps hero of World War I whose famous words, "Retreat Hell, We Just Got Here!" became part of military history. This afternoon event will feature historical interpretation, community engagement, and a look at Clermont Farm’s rich military heritage.

Our first grind of the season was a terrific success last weekend! Tomorrow we'll be milling red cornmeal and grits 🌾

The Burwell-Morgan Mill is open to visitors on Fridays and Sundays from 12 - 5pm, and on Saturdays the mill is fully operational from 10am - 5pm. (Please note: these are seasonal hours)

CCHA has partnered with several local historic organizations to bring the community a year full of exciting events. We will have Revolutionary Reenactors, traditional American banjo music, face painting for the kids, and refreshments available to purchase. Members of the Clarke County VA250 Historical Committee will be there to talk about programs you can look forward to throughout this milestone year. This event is free of charge and fun for the whole family! 🇺🇸
