Celebrate freedom, identity, and Black joy during our “Free To Be: A Juneteenth Jubilee” this Friday, June 19th, with free admission from 3pm – 8pm! Immersive programming will feature activities for all ages that celebrate celebration of Black joy, Black history, and Black futures.

This weekend’s Artist’s Lens Workshop “In Your Element” features Carlynn Newhouse, a National YoungArts Winner, the only 3x Youth Speaks Seattle Grand Slam Champion, and 4th ranked woman poet in the world 🤩

Children are invited to join an immersive anime-inspired workshop where they will play with poetry and explore personal power 📖💪 Based on a fan favorite, "Avatar: The Last Airbender", anime and art lovers alike will be guided through an introduction to metaphor, simile, and descriptive language to creatively compare themselves to the elements of water, fire, earth, and air 💫

Families are invited to join us for an immersive workshop that explores personal and cultural symbolism this Sunday, June 14th, with local artist, educator, and National Young Arts winner, Patricia Monclus!

Children will experiment with enlarging and tracing images using various artistic tools and processes to create a collaborative mural of butterflies. Encounter the symbolic beauty of butterflies across cultures, reflecting transformation, diversity, and connection through art 🦋🎨✨
