We're hiring a Museum Education Aide to support our educational spaces during the summer season! Learn more about the role and how to apply belowβ¬οΈ
This part-time temporary role is responsible for monitoring assigned studio spaces, preparing and organizing materials for programs, cleaning and maintaining education areas, opening and closing spaces, assisting with camp setup and breakdown, supporting program preparation, interacting with and assisting museum visitors and collaborating with Museum Education Assistants to ensure smooth program flow. Additional related duties may be assigned as needed.
Dates of Employment: June 1 β August 14 (the museum is closed July 4)
Hours: Sundays 12:00 PM β 4:30 PM (4.5 hours) and Mondays β Wednesdays 11:00 AM β 4:00 PM (15 hours total)
Qualifications:
β’ High school diploma or GED
β’ Customer service experience
β’ Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of children, staff and visitors
β’ Enthusiasm for encouraging creativity and fostering a supportive learning environment
β’ Prior experience in education or working with children and families is a plus
β’ Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting
β’ Reliable, flexible and maintains a positive attitude
