The model is based on an actual Boeing B-29 Superfortress with the Serial No. 44-27299 known as "Next Objective," but this model was renamed "Sofie's Surprise" in honor of a longtime friend of Daniel Metcalf, the founder of the Metcalf Model Vehicles Collection.
