Through the voices of the carvers themselves, this beautifully crafted film brings to life the stories, artistry, and memories that connect our coastal communities to their past.

Join us as we turn the camera toward the technical force behind Conversations in the Kitchen, Mike Noseworthy.

After a distinguished 37-year career as a sound engineer with NBC News and The Today Show, Mike worked on everything from Olympic broadcasts to major breaking news events around the world.

In this conversation, he reflects on his career, shares stories from the many places all over the world his work took him, and explains what ultimately drew him and his wife to Virginia’s Eastern Shore.

Mike also discusses becoming part of the local community and the many parallels he has found between life on the Shore and the parallels he is drawn from his past experiences.

✨CLASS SPOTLIGHT: Intro to Finger Knitting ✨
Saturday, October 10, 2026 — 10am-1pm. Under the expert instruction of teacher Eden Ertle, participants will learn the basics of finger knitting while creating a soft, handmade pet mat that is perfect for a cat or small dog. This is a wonderful introduction for anyone who has always wanted to try knitting but may not feel ready to use traditional needles. Ages 14+. Cost: $65 per person (including yarn and supplies).
