Saturday, August 8th is the Lynn Arts & Culture Festival! That day, we're having a ribbon-cutting ceremony over at the Studios to celebrate the $2.1 million in renovations!

The ribbon cutting will take place right at noon over on 25 Exchange Street and the festivities will continue until 4 o'clock! ✂️

Explore all of the creative people and organizations that will have activities that day! There'll even be a trolley looping at stops all over the city for easy transportation to and from the festival sites. 🎨 🖌️

Next week, we'll be saying goodbye to "Vessels of Slavery: Forget Me Not." ❤️ It's been a pleasure hosting such an achievement of research, history, and art in the space. We can't see where it goes next! 📜✨🪶

We'll have a closing reception on Wednesday, July 15th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Admission is free and light refreshments will be available.

We're welcoming Paul Halloran as the guest speaker for July's Museum Enrichment Series for All (M.E.S.A.) Program! Paul Halloran is the author of Cody's Wish: A Boy, a Racehorse, and a Fight for Life. 🐎📚

The book tells the story of Cody Dorman, a teenager with a rare genetic disorder, who develops a special relationship with an award-winning horse named after him. Listen to Paul Halloran speak about the new book and his relationship with Cody and his family. 🐴

Fun things are happening at LMAC this week!

On Wednesday, Ashley Theilacker will be speaking during our virtual lecture series, the Museum Enrichment Series for All (M.E.S.A) program. At noon, she'll be talking about her research into enslaved people of the greater Lynn area as part of the Vessels of Slavery: Forget Me Not exhibition. 📖🖊
