The full lineup for our zine release party is here! We have a stacked bill and we couldn’t be more excited to bring together the best local punk bands for one night. 🀘🏼🎸

It’s all taking place September 4 from 7:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. at SUPERCHIEF GALLERY LA.

We’ll be celebrating our newest zine with live music from Castillo, S***k, Ugly, SOH, Hungry Ass Youth, and Foolanos.

You can also expect DJs, a full bar, craft beer, and the best tacos in L.A.

Submissions are officially open for CONTAGIOUS CULTURE 6, Superchief Gallery’s annual photography exhibition and book.

Every year we go through thousands of submissions and select 250 photographs documenting the people, places, scenes, and subcultures happening around us.

We’re looking for:

Street photography
Portraits & snapshots
Documentary & photojournalism
Art & graffiti
Underground & subculture
Skateboarding & biking
Music scenes
Everyday life, strange moments, and everything in between

Professional, amateur, film, digital, published, unpublished. It doesn’t matter.

All submissions are curated anonymously. Names and social media are removed during the selection process. The photograph is what matters.

Selected work will be exhibited at Superchief Gallery LA and published in CONTAGIOUS CULTURE VOL. 6.

Submissions are officially open for CONTAGIOUS CULTURE VOL. 6, Superchief Gallery’s massive annual photography exhibition in Los Angeles.

This year, Superchief Gallery and Film & Friends + are joining forces to curate the exhibition, bringing together photographers documenting Los Angeles and beyond.

Professionals, amateurs, film shooters, digital photographers, photojournalists, artists, and anyone with a camera are welcome to submit.

Proud to announce the sale of machofemmeman's sculpture, Dad's Den, to SOLO in Madrid, Spain. We debuted Macho's full collection of emotionally charged, autobiographical miniature homes in our exhibition DON'T ASK, DON'T TELL just a few weeks ago, and it's incredibly rewarding to see his work enter the collection of an institution like SOLO. The sculpture will be on public view in Madrid alongside the rest of the SOLO Collection. Congratulations, Macho! Well deserved.

To commemorate this milestone, I visited Macho's studio for an intimate two-hour conversation about his life, his creative process, growing up with a Vietnam veteran father, and how those experiences became the emotionally charged miniature worlds that define his work. We also dive into outsider art, craftsmanship, memory, trauma, and the strange beauty that can emerge from difficult experiences.

Wishing a very happy birthday to the OG, a true legend, Estevan Oriol, they don't make'em like this anymore. Through thick and thin, highs and lows, Estevan is a rock solid person who's true to himself and always putting down for the culture and the next generation. That's not even mentioning his PROLIFIC career as a photographer, director, manager, and everything else he's played a role in over the years. So grateful for all the work we've done together, and honored for the friendship we've forged.Β  Estevan forever, the man is a living legend!
