Take Your Antipsychotics — the painting that started all of this.
At the time, I was living in Santa Barbara. I had recently been diagnosed with BPD and was trying all sorts of medications. I kept a notebook to track them, writing down each day what I was taking, how I was feeling, and whether it was actually working.
Eventually, I was on my third medication, taking about three pills a day. And, well… I kept forgetting to take my antipsychotic.
So, what’s better than a visual reminder?
The painting features me wearing my headphones, like I did almost all the time, with a simple reminder to take my meds.
I didn’t know it at the time, but that painting would become the beginning of GHOST GIRL.
