The Wall That Heals is the official traveling replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. It is the only traveling wall recognized by the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund (VVMF), the organization that maintains the original memorial.
Standing at 375 feet in length and 7.5 feet tall at its tallest point, The Wall That Heals is a three-quarter scale replica that honors the more than three million Americans who served in the U.S. Armed Forces in the Vietnam War. Engraved into the black granite are the names of 58,281 brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice.
The exhibit includes The Wall replica, a mobile Education Center, and a ceremonial space for reflection and healing. The traveling memorial brings this powerful experience to communities across America, allowing visitors to honor and remember those who served and sacrificed.
From June 4- June 7, Reynolds, Indiana will have the privilege of hosting The Wall That Heals at the White County Fairgrounds. The exhibit is free and open to the public 24 hours a day during its stay.

*Mick Deremigio was a linguist in the U.S. Navy. While flying from the Philippines to Saigon in Vietnam, the plane experienced mechanical difficulties and crashed in the South China Sea. All the six military officers and four crew members aboard were lost at sea and presumed dead. It was ruled a non-combat death - so his name is not on the Memorial Wall. But we count it - and we will never forget! An only child, Mick’s parents were heartbroken. His 1964 LHS classmates honor Mick and fellow classmate, Thomas Priesthoff and keep their memory alive.
