You know it!
Two weekends ago, I had a child (maybe eight years old) come up to me just as serious as could be. He gave me a rather skeptical look and said, ā€œWhy do you have Superman ducks? Superman sucks!!ā€ I couldn’t help but laugh! I really didn’t know what to say! But I guess he isn’t entirely wrong. They are our second slowest ducks, our slowest being The Flash, ironically. 🤣🤣🤣

DID YOU KNOW? The pilot episode, "Hi Di**le Riddle/Smack in the Middle," was shot at 20th Century Fox, and the rest of the series was shot at Culver Studios? The first two pics are from the pilot, and the third indicates how the bookcase area looked for the rest of the show. It was tough to decide which parts of the pilot study to keep/or to abandon while we were making ours at the Fiberglass Freaks' Batman Museum!

Good morning, everybody! Happy Saturday! It’s Abby your friendly Batman Museum Manager here. Wanted to hop on and say ā€œHiā€! Just a few quick notes for Logansport friends, and anyone traveling through the area today. Logansport lost a legend recently, and his family is celebrating him today. Traffic might be a little busy surrounding our open time—but please don’t cut the procession, don’t try to rush them, be respectful. The State Theater sign is beautiful. I know Kesling Kicks - Now at Kesling Home Health Care is doing something special today, as is Heather’s B&K West, Bob-O-Link, and maybe more. I think it’s truly special to see Logansport come together to celebrate Mr. Shanks in various ways as a community. I’m not related to the Shanks family, but loved Haps, and getting to chat with Bob. He could put a smile on anyone’s face. Didn’t know a stranger. Loved getting to show little kids his animatronic animals he kept behind the Ice Cream counter. A lot of great memories. My Great-Grandpa Harper worked for Coke for many years, and Mr. Shanks served the best Cokes in Logansport. Ice cream stands can’t get it quite right. Zip Thru has amazingly-close-to-Haps-Cokes days, and pretty-far-off coke days. But today, I have one of Great Grandpa’s pins on, and am drinking a Marshmallow Coke in Mr. Shanks’ honor. Great to see everyone raising cokes, and gearing up in Coke merch to celebrate Mr. Happy Burger today. Truly a legend.

Here is the note from Fisher Funeral Chapel - Logansport, IN to help you plan your route accordingly:

The Shanks family invites you to help honor Bob’s life in a uniquely hometown way.

ā€œAt 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2026, the Shanks family will travel in procession from Fisher Funeral Chapel to the east side of town, passing the former Mr. Happy Burger East before continuing west on Broadway. The procession will then drive past the former Mr. Happy Burger West – now Tokyo – where the big steer still stands watch.

If you wish to pay tribute to Bob at either of these locations, or in between, please be in place by 1 p.m. Your presence is a gift, and the family is deeply grateful.
