What an excellent collaboration! Yesterday, freshmen from The Academy at LCSC met up with Leah Walthery (Cass County SWCD Director) and Jill Snyder (Cass County Historical & Genealogical Society) to introduce students to our stretch of the Wabash River here in Cass County. We talked ecology, geology, indigenous people, and changes brought by colonialism and current trends in urban and agricultural development. The weather was perfect, the Wabash was beautiful in the morning light, and our well-maintained Little Turtle Waterway is an excellent teaching venue.
