LC State Center for Arts & History Connecting LC State and community through art, history, creativity & shared experiences—in the heart of downtown Lewiston. Groups welcome. All ages welcome.

Admission is free and open to the public. As a community outreach program for Lewis-Clark State College, we encourage everyone to visit us and experience art. Whether you have an MFA or haven't entered Kindergarten, CAH welcomes you! Docent tours are available by appointment. Admission is FREE. Donations are always graciously accepted.

📢 A quick September hours update!

Our gallery hours will look a little different throughout September as we navigate staffing shortages and prepare for our upcoming exhibition, Rooted in the Palouse.

Please check the September hours graphic before planning your visit, as there are several changes to our usual schedule. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work behind the scenes to install the new exhibition and get the gallery ready for you!

We’ll reopen Tuesday, September 29, with Rooted in the Palouse, featuring work by eight regional artists. Our regular gallery hours will resume at that time.

We’ll be on campus tomorrow at the Welcome Fair from 10 AM–3 PM with a collaborative mural project for LC State students! Stop by, add your own creative touch, and help us create a piece that will be displayed in The Gallery Nook, our new student lounge at the Center for Arts & History.

✨ All supplies are provided and participation is FREE!

The Community Time Capsule is still open!

There's still time to be part of this special America 250 project. Share a memory, message, or small memento to help capture this moment in our community's history.

Contributions will be accepted through September 12 during gallery hours. Once complete, the time capsule will be sealed inside one of the Center's historic vaults and preserved for 50 years before being opened by a future generation.
