The Park is seven miles long and includes a 210-acre Nature Preserve, a Nature Center with interactive displays and activities for all ages, access from multiple trailheads, and walking and biking trails in designated areas. There are plentiful opportunities for wildlife viewing, photography, and simply escaping to a unique natural environment. At all access points, the park is open dawn to dusk every day. Visitors are welcome on all trails during daylight hours only. The Nature Center is open Tuesday through Sunday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. The Nature Center includes the Exhibit Gallery, Nature Store, Lizard Lounge, Auditorium, and Visitor Information. Our award-winning Education programs teach youngsters and adults about wildlife and the ecology of the Las Vegas Wash through engaging, interactive programs that promote a sense of place and a connection to nature. Our offerings for adults, families, children, students and teachers include guided discovery walks, family programs, events, art, recreation programs, and opportunities to be involved in meaningful stewardship projects.

Don’t miss our Creatures of the Night stations at Haunt the Wetlands - coming Friday, October 23rd, from 4 - 8 pm, which will include specimens on loan from our friends at the Las Vegas Science & Natural History Museum. Animals featured will include beaver, badger, coyote, bobcat and more! Nevada Department of Wildlife will be there to share specimens and information about owls and bats. Welcome to Fall at Wetlands Park! The annual Spooky Maze and self-guided Story Walk is now open daylight hours through October 31. You'll find the Spooky Maze just east of the Nature Center at 7050 Wetlands Park Lane, Las Vegas. It is free to enter. Children can complete the maze activity and earn a prize by telling your answer to the Story Walk question to staff in the Exhibit Gallery. The Exhibit Gallery is open Tuesday through Sunday, 9 AM - 3 PM. Thank you to Wetlands Park Friends for thier support in making this maze possible.
Come back the night of our Haunt the Wetlands event on Friday, October 23, 4 - 8 pm to see the Spooky Maze decked out with even more Halloween decor. Advance tickets for Haunt the Wetlands can be purchased for $6 at https://tinyurl.com/HaunttheWetlands2026.

Our Spooky Maze & Story Walk officially opens October 1 and will be available during daylight hours throughout the month of October. The maze of reeds will contain a self-guided story walk and decorations for all park visitors to enjoy. Children will get a prize for answering the Story Walk question! Share your answer with staff in the Nature Store, open Tuesday through Sunday, 9 AM - 3 PM.

Discover the eerie side of nature in a Creatures of the Night Walk, see what's lurking in the Spooky Maze, and get up close and personal with creepy, crawly animals. Experiment in the Mad Scientist's Lair if you dare. Costumes are encouraged for participants young and old.
