The City of Lander is seeking community members interested in serving on the Board of Adjustment and Planning Commission. This is one appointed board that serves two functions: members serve as both the Board of Adjustment and the Planning Commission.

When acting as the Board of Adjustment, members serve as the City’s zoning board and make decisions on variance requests, conditional use requests, and home occupation requests.

When acting as the Planning Commission, members help plan for Lander’s future by developing and reviewing plans, policies, and regulations related to land use, zoning, and community development.

Application Deadline: 5 PM, October 30, 2026
Term: Two or three year terms available
Positions Available: 3–4

How to Apply:
Complete the Citizen Board Expression of Interest Form, available at City Hall or online at www.landerwy.gov/forms. Completed forms may be emailed to [email protected] or dropped off at City Hall. Applicants will receive confirmation by email once their form has been received.

Serving on the Board of Adjustment and Planning Commission is a meaningful way to get involved in the community and help shape Lander’s future. Community members interested in land use, planning, zoning, and community development are encouraged to apply.
