247 N. Main Street, a commercial building beautifully restored by Modern Recycled Spaces, has a remarkable history as the former Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Carla Cielo wrote about the church and its community, prefacing her article with "This is a story of perseverance and a drive towards independence by a group of about 70 African Americans in the city of Lambertville throughout the 20th century." The Lambertville Historical Society will conduct our holiday community-energizer again in December. It will be our 15th year, which is KIND OF A BIG DEAL so you all are especially encouraged to participate! We plan to hold 2 concerts.

- For any musician/act in Lambertville or with a strong connection to Lambertville, we request a holiday song -- originals or covers -- to package for the 2026 Season's Greetings from Lambertville collection. Today the New Jersey State Archives opens its first public gallery, giving visitors unprecedented access to some of the state’s most treasured historical documents. The gallery at 225 West State Street expands downtown Trenton’s cultural offerings.

The inaugural exhibition, “Revolutionary Lives: Living the American Experiment Then and Now,” explores the experiences of a wide range of New Jerseyans who participated in the Revolution—as Patriots or Loyalists—including women, enslaved people, and native communities whose political choices and personal stories reflect the complexity of that time. The exhibition uncovers long-overlooked stories and draws connections to the present.
