Holcombe-Jimison Farmstead Museum Holcombe-Jimison Farmstead is dedicated to preserving of Hunterdon County’s agricultural heritage. Admission is $5; children 5 & under are free.

The Farmstead includes a large 1891 bank barn with an extensive collection of artifacts dealing with farming in the region. There is also a 1711 house, a new large barn displaying farm equipment, a general store, a post office, a barbershop, a blacksmith's forge, a 20th century machine shop, a print shop, and a herb garden maintained by The Delaware Valley Herb Society. Open Wednesday mornings all year; Sundays from 1-4 May to October. Located north of Lambertville NJ just south of Rt 202.

The 'Ben Franklin' Press: Watch our colonial-style common press in action. See how 18th-century printers used muscle and ink to spread the ideas that built a nation.
Local Roots: Get up close with a true piece of Hunterdon County history—the original printing press from The Hunterdon Democrat newspaper.
Mind Your P’s and Q’s: Learn the secrets of the California Job Case. We’ll explain why "Upper Case" and "Lower Case" are more than just grammar terms and how printers navigated thousands of tiny metal letters with lightning speed.
Hands-On History: Don’t just watch—participate! Try your hand at operating our manual letterpress and feel the unique "bite" of type hitting paper as you create your own print to take home.

We are thrilled to welcome a local master of the craft for a live demonstration of 19th-century metalworking. Watch as he utilizes a traditional coal-fired forge to heat and shape iron using methods consistent with the 1800s.
From the roar of the bellows to the rhythmic strike of the hammer, you’ll get an up-close look at the essential role of the blacksmith and farrier in early American farm life. Witness the transformation of raw steel into functional tools and learn about the historic techniques that kept Hunterdon County’s horses shod and its farms running for generations.
