We have a full month of fun events coming up starting with a spooky themed screen print workshop on the 14th

We are so excited to be partnering with Fairfax Market on a new event series. Our first event is a junk journal workshop on the 21st.

On the 25th we have a fun diy mask project at the Smead Discovedy center downstairs at Cleveland Museum Natural History
We will have an owl and wolf mask designs you can print and decorate!

Last but not least we have a trick or treat party on the 30th at Fairfax market! We will be decorating totes with fun Halloween designs.

Akron Art Museum new classroom was filled with printmakers last Thursday! We had a premade block print with the 1899 building on it to celebrate! We also had blank foam blocks to carve into your own custom stamp design! It was so fun to see the creativity come through and welcome the new space in.

Cleveland Museum Natural History had us create a design for the Perkins 10 year celebration over the weekend!

Guests at the museum could live screen print a board game that featured all 4 of the animals that have been at Perkins since the remodel 10 years ago!

The board game mimics the walking paths through the center and has facts about the animals to take you through the game!

Cyanotype class today was so fun!

We talked about doing an open studio time so people that have taken the Cyanotype class before can come and use the studio to make more prints!

Our first Cyanotype class of the month is tomorrow! This is a great time to bring in flowers from your garden to make a print of them to remember forever! This class is super chill and great if you aren’t super creative but still want to make something cool! It’s really intuitive and a great process to learn. Since we are losing sunlight (tonight is the last sunset after 8pm 😪) we will be utilizing the UV light to expose our prints.
We have a few spots left for tomorrow’s class, sign up now!

We printed shirts Food Strong a few weeks ago!
Check out the farm on superior!
We printed with a great group of farmers to celebrate the end of summer. They printed and everyone decorated and signed each others shirts!

We have some events at Cleveland Museum Natural History and Akron Art Museum coming up! These are all free and family friendly!

We will be at the reopening party for the 1899 Building on September 24th from 12-4 pm. We will have a fun interactive sculpture for guests to engage with! Come check it out!

We also have a monthly residency at The Cleveland Museum of Natural History starting in September. We will be creating and celebrating with fun and educational print projects!

We will post more about each event separately but mark your calendars for these dates now so you don’t miss out!

Start summer out on a creative note with us! We have two pop ups and some fun classes at the studio coming up.

This Thursday we will be at live screen printing bandanas! You can print them and then customize with fabric markers!
on Saturday we have our monthly pop up with the where we have drop in art on the 3rd floor of the museum. This month’s theme is Astronomy!
Then on the 16th we have a loom weaving class at the studio. Super chill and relaxing after a long day at work. We teach you how to make a decorative wall hanging with natural fibers.

All the museum events are free. All classes and workshops at the studio have a fee and you can sign up on Eventbrite!

This week we had a workshop doing screen printing and we also got to do cyanotypes! Everyone got so creative and really got into the process. I showed them how to use drawing fluid and screw filler to make a screen and we cut out stencils by hand also. We did mono prints with watercolor crayons and mixed colors for split fountain prints. We all printed a tote bag with a spring design also!
