A little update on what's going on this fall!!
Lots coming up here at the Museum!
PLEASE NOTE that the East Wing will be closing for the day on SATURDAY October 24. The Wing will reopen on Sunday for the final day of Craig Barber's ~ "Where Our Food Comes From"

Fall Topics @ The School –

October 25th – Craig Barber. Where our Food Comes From: Honoring the Farmers and Farmworkers of Skagit County

November 22nd – Lisette Roozen-Mast. The Roozens – How it Started

All presentations at 2 PM at the Skagit City School, 17508 Moore Rd on Fir Island

Where Our Food Comes From: Honoring the Farmers and Farmworkers of Skagit County exhibit closes October 25th. If you haven’t seen this exhibit, or want a second (or third) look, be sure to make plans to visit. Please keep in mind – the Skagit River Poetry Festival will be using the Museum for sessions during the last weekend of the exhibit – SO East Wing will be closed until 1 PM on Friday, October 23rd. Closed all day on Saturday October 24th. Open 11 to 4 on Sunday October 25th with special reception from 4 to 6 on Sunday afternoon. Craig will be in town and will be at the exhibit after the Topic @ The School. He will have pen in hand to autograph your books!

Fall Fundraiser – “Treasures: Protecting Our Shared History” November 7th at Maple Hall. Tickets available now! $60 per seat or table of 8 for $420. Raffle tickets are also available for purchase. Need not be present to win, but you won’t want to miss this great party!

Opens October 29th with a reception at 5 PM. Runs through December 3rd. Presented by Mark Iverson Circle of Friends, Skagit Community Foundation and the Skagit County Historical Museum.

Holiday at the Top of the Hill

Join SVGS on 𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟎, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, 𝐚𝐭 𝟏𝐩𝐦 at the Burlington Public Library for this highly anticipated free presentation from Aimee Cross, professional genealogist and the host of YouTube channel AncestryAimee.com.

A simple “Thank you” to our community seems so small compared to our gratitude for receiving the honor of being voted BEST MUSEUM IN SKAGIT COUNTY! Especially when we have so many amazing museums that surround us and that are equally as important in carrying on and sharing the history of Skagit County.
Please do accept our deepest gratitude and thanks. And come see us “at the top of the hill” in La Conner!
