Dear Kingwood residents of the past and present,

Did you or a loved one attend Oak Summit School between 1849-1953? Do you have any photographs or stories of the school from those years that you’d like to share? If so, we’d love to see and hear what you’ve got!!

As we approach the 50th anniversary of the formation of Oak Summit School Historical Society in 2029, we would like to compile more photographs, written records, and stories of the bygone era of Oak Summit School to share with the community! 📚✏️🍎

Our town’s traditions and history must be remembered and carried on as each generation comes and goes! So please, feel free to contribute to the past, present, and future generations of Kingwood by sharing your knowledge, records, and stories ❤️

On May 31st, we had the honor of welcoming back former student, Sam Kutner, to the Oak Summit School to celebrate his 85th birthday!

Mr. Kutner attended Oak Summit in the late 1940s and recalls many fond memories from his schooldays here.

We’re so thrilled to have met this Oak Summit alumnus and that he got to share a piece of his childhood with his beautiful family!!

What a special day it was! Happy Birthday Sam Kutner!!
