Dean Millien () is getting some well-deserved attention!

recently featured Millien and his remarkable practice, exploring the imaginative animal world he creates from a material as ordinary as aluminum foil. Known as the “Tin Man,” Millien has been transforming foil into meticulously crafted sculptures since he was three years old, drawing inspiration from toys, cartoons, pop culture, and the animal kingdom.

We are thrilled to host Dean at ArtYard this summer as part of our residency partnership with Studio Route 29 (). During his residency, he created new work for Gleam, an upcoming exhibition at ArtYard featuring Millien alongside artist Jude Tallichet.

See Dean’s work, and read more about his extraordinary practice, in Hyperallergic’s feature: hyperallergic.com/dean-milliens-aluminum-foil-animal-world

And save the date: Gleam opens October 24 as part of ArtYard’s 10th-anniversary season. More soon!
