🦝 Museum Munchkins is back!

We’re kicking things off with one of our favorite masked mammals: the raccoon! 🦝

This week, our Museum Munchkins will get up close with this clever, curious creature while exploring what makes raccoons such unique animals. Did you know raccoons have whiskers on their toes? Those tiny whiskers are called "vibrissae" and help them sense and explore objects, especially when they’re searching for food in dark or murky water.

The City of Kenosha is again teaming up with Versiti to support the Abbott and Big Ten We Give Blood Drive competition. We need locals to help defend Wisconsin's title! 🩸🦑

Donate at one of our city-sponsored blood drives:

πŸ“ Sept. 1 – Kenosha Public Museum
πŸ“ Sept. 18 – Kenosha County Courthouse
πŸ“ Oct. 30 – Northside Community Library

Everyone who donates at one of these drives receives a FREE University of Wisconsin hat, an exclusive t-shirt for their favorite Big Ten school and a Culver's coupon for a pint of frozen custard while supplies last.

Your donation could help save lives right here in Kenosha. The Kenosha Fire Department carries blood on all front-line ambulances, allowing paramedics to provide lifesaving transfusions before patients even reach the hospital.

If you're able, please consider donating and help make a difference for patients while showing your Wisconsin pride!

Visit Versiti to register for a drive and log your donation at bigten.org/abbott to earn an exclusive Big Ten t-shirt and help Wisconsin compete for a $1 million community health grant.
