🇺🇸🇫🇷 What an incredible day in Normandy!

Members of VFW Post 9182 spent the day in Sainte-Mère-Église, France, honoring the heroes of D-Day during commemorative events. We were especially proud to see our Quartermaster, Heidi Arriaga, meet and take a photo with VFW Commander-in-Chief Carol Whitmore.

As we reflect on the courage and sacrifice of the Greatest Generation, we are honored to represent our veterans and our community on this historic ground where freedom was defended 82 years ago.

🇺🇸 This past Memorial Day, VFW Post 9182 and our Auxiliary proudly hosted a remembrance ceremony at Magnolia Cemetery in Katy, Texas, where more than 300 veterans are laid to rest.

We were humbled by the incredible turnout from the citizens of Katy, members of City Council, our Sea Cadets, Honor Guard, the City of Katy Fire Department, multiple motorcycle clubs, and so many others who came together to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation.

Their service and sacrifice will never be forgotten. Thank you to everyone who joined us in keeping their memory alive. 🇺🇸❤️

🇺🇸❤️ This past Memorial Day weekend, the incredible young men and women of the Civil Air Patrol joined forces with VFW Post 9182 to place more than 300 American flags at Magnolia Cemetery in Katy, Texas.

This annual tradition is one of the most meaningful ways we honor those who served our nation. Each flag serves as a reminder that the freedoms we enjoy today were paid for by brave Americans who gave their lives in service to our country.

A huge thank you to our Civil Air Patrol cadets and volunteers who helped ensure that these heroes are never forgotten. Their dedication to preserving the memory of our fallen is inspiring and gives us great hope for the future.

🇺🇸 Katy, Texas — VFW Post 9182 would like to give a huge shoutout to from and from for helping coordinate an amazing event in support of Veterans in the Katy area this past weekend. 👏

What many people don’t see behind successful events is the countless hours of hard work, coordination, and selfless service happening behind the scenes. It’s individuals like Marissa and Kayla who dedicate their time, energy, and passion to helping veterans and strengthening our community.

Because of people like them, we are able to continue supporting Veterans and their families right here in Katy. 🇺🇸

🇺🇸 Katy, TEXAS — thank you so much for showing out this Memorial Day weekend at 🍻❤️

This weekend, No Label partnered with Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States Post 9182 to honor and remember our fallen military heroes by hosting Buddy Poppy donation tables throughout the brewery.

The tradition of the Buddy Poppy dates back to World War I, inspired by the red poppies that grew across the battlefields of Flanders Fields after the war. The poppy became a lasting symbol of sacrifice, remembrance, and support for veterans and their families. 🌺🇺🇸

Because of this incredible community, we raised over $500 to help veterans in the Katy area who may be facing hardship, need assistance, or simply need to know their community stands beside them.

Katy, we are proud of you. And to No Label Brewery — thank you for always standing shoulder to shoulder with veterans and helping us keep the spirit of remembrance alive. 🍻🇺🇸

🇺🇸 What an incredible Memorial Day weekend at Katy Crossing Ice House! 🇺🇸

A huge thank you to everyone who came out this past Saturday and supported the fundraiser for VFW POST 9182’s Colonel Peyton Lumpkin University of Houston Endowment. Because of this amazing community, we helped raise over $600 toward an endowment that will one day provide annual scholarships to Katy ISD students attending the University of Houston. 🎓🇺🇸

Special thanks to .maxwell50 for working the front door and helping spread the word about the endowment, for being such a gracious host, and the entire staff for their outstanding support and hospitality. Y’all were absolutely amazing! 🙌

Shoutout to for bringing the energy all night and helping judge the camo contest! 🎶🔥

And congratulations to our camo contest winner — local Vietnam Veteran Bob Lee — who showed up wearing the original uniform he wore during Vietnam. An incredible moment and a powerful reminder of the generations of service and sacrifice represented in our community. 🇺🇸🪖

🇺🇸 So proud of the partnerships and support we saw this Memorial Day weekend. The from across the Houston metro area are an incredible group of young leaders and citizens. They came out to support our Memorial Day Buddy Poppy distribution, and I can’t thank them enough.

Seeing the next generation step forward and carry on traditions that have honored and remembered our nation’s heroes for decades is both inspiring and hopeful. The future is bright when young men and women continue to serve, lead, and remember.
