🇺🇸🎖️ VFW Post 9182 is proud to announce the installation of our new Commander, Ken Bullock, for the 2026–2027 VFW year!

A proud Desert Storm veteran and longtime member of the Katy community, Ken brings a deep commitment to veterans, service, and leadership. We are excited to see him guide our Post through the coming year as we continue our mission of serving veterans, their families, and our community.

As we welcome Commander Bullock, we would also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to outgoing Commander Ruben Arriaga and his family. Over the last two years, Ruben’s leadership, dedication, and countless hours of service helped elevate Post 9182 to new heights. His family’s support and sacrifice behind the scenes played an important role in that success, and we are truly thankful.

The good news is that Ruben isn’t going far! He will continue serving Post 9182 as our Adjutant and remains available through his VFW email and cell phone as we continue building on the momentum of the past two years.

Today break out those American flags and get them posted! 🇺🇸 Whether it’s flying proudly from your front porch, displayed at your business, or waving from your vehicle, let’s fill our community with red, white, and blue and show our pride in this great nation.

As members of the VFW, we remember that every fold, every stripe, and every star represents the service and sacrifice of those who stood watch to preserve the freedoms we enjoy today.

Take a moment to salute Old Glory, thank a veteran, and reflect on what it means to be an American.

🇺🇸 What an incredible week at the VFW Texas State Convention! 🇺🇸

As we wrap up another successful convention, we leave inspired, energized, and more committed than ever to serving veterans, their families, and our communities across the great State of Texas.

From sharing best practices and recognizing outstanding accomplishments to building new friendships and strengthening old ones, this convention reminded us that the VFW is strongest when we work together. 🤝

A huge thank you to all the delegates, volunteers, leadership teams, and VFW members who dedicated their time and passion to ensuring we continue moving our mission forward. The work doesn’t stop here—we’re taking this momentum back to our Posts and communities across Texas!

Together, we will continue fighting for veterans, preserving our traditions, and ensuring the next generation of veterans finds a home in the VFW.

🇺🇸 Today at the VFW Texas State Convention, we took a moment to recognize and honor the incredible women veterans who have answered our nation’s call to serve. 🇺🇸

On Women Veterans Day, it was truly inspiring to see so many women veterans actively involved in the VFW, continuing their service to their fellow veterans and communities long after taking off the uniform.

While we celebrate the amazing women already leading the way, we know there is still work to do. We need more women veterans to join our ranks, share their voices, and help us continue fighting for veterans’ benefits, advocacy, and support across Texas and America.

If you are a woman veteran, your experience matters, your voice matters, and your service still matters. Join us and be part of something bigger!

🐾🇺🇸 What an incredible moment at the Texas VFW State Convention!

VFW Post 9182 was honored to be present as our very own Ray Sandberg was paired with his new service dog. Seeing this life-changing partnership begin was truly inspiring.

Service dogs provide far more than companionship—they offer independence, confidence, support, and a renewed sense of freedom. We know this amazing dog will make a positive impact in every aspect of Ray’s life, and we couldn’t be happier for him.

Congratulations, Ray! We look forward to watching this new journey unfold and wish you and your new battle buddy many years of success together. ❤️🐕‍🦺

🎒🇺🇸 Kicked off the 3rd day of the Texas VFW State Convention the right way—with a 5K ruck alongside VFW members from across the great state of Texas!
From great conversations and shared experiences to plenty of sweat along the route, it was an outstanding way to start the day and set the tempo for the convention ahead. Events like these remind us that the bonds of service don’t end when the uniform comes off—they continue through fellowship, leadership, and service to our communities.
A huge shoutout to Jason and Kayla for organizing and leading the event! 👏 Your hard work, planning, and motivation helped make it a great experience for everyone who participated.
Looking forward to a great convention and continuing the mission of serving veterans across Texas!

🇺🇸 This past week, VFW Post 9182 was honored to receive a generous donation from and in support of veterans in the Katy community.

Partnerships like these make a real difference and help ensure that our mission of serving veterans, service members, and their families continues strong. The unwavering support from local businesses and community organizations is what makes Katy such a special place.

A special thank you to and your countless hours of coordination and hard work behind the scenes do not go unnoticed. We truly appreciate everything you did to make this partnership a success.
