🇺🇸🌾 VFW POST 9182 AT THE KATY RICE FESTIVAL! 🌾🇺🇸

One of our favorite traditions of the year! Members of VFW Post 9182 were proud to participate in the annual Katy Rice Festival, celebrating the rich history, heritage, and agricultural roots that helped shape the great City of Katy, Texas!

We love getting out into the community, meeting fellow Katyites, sharing stories, and educating our neighbors about the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and our mission to support veterans, their families, and the communities we proudly serve.

Events like these remind us why community involvement matters. It’s about honoring our past, building relationships, and continuing to serve long after the uniform comes off.

A huge thank-you to everyone who stopped by to say hello, shake a veteran’s hand, or learn more about what we do!

🎓 IT’S SCHOLARSHIP SEASON! 💰

It’s that time of year again! VFW Post 9182 – Katy, Texas, is excited to announce our annual Voice of Democracy and Patriot’s Pen competitions!

This is an incredible opportunity for students to showcase their patriotism, share their voices, and compete for scholarships and cash prizes! 💵🇺🇸

📚 Two Competitions:

🎤 Voice of Democracy – Open to students in grades 9–12. Compete for scholarships to help fund your college education!

✍️ Patriot’s Pen – Open to students in grades 6–8. Share your thoughts on patriotism and compete for cash prizes!

🚨 DEADLINE: OCTOBER 31, 2026! 🚨

Don’t miss your opportunity to represent your school, demonstrate your love for our country, and potentially earn money toward your future!

VFW Post 9182 members will be traveling throughout the Katy, Texas area recognizing local businesses that demonstrate outstanding support for our veterans, service members, and their families this month.

Our Veteran-Friendly Business distinction recognizes companies that go above and beyond to honor the men and women who volunteered to serve and sacrificed years of their lives in defense of this great nation. Every veteran has been a brick in the wall of America’s defense—helping ensure that those who would challenge our nation think twice before doing so. 🇺🇸

Today, we had the honor of presenting our very first Veteran-Friendly Business sticker to No Label Brewing Co.! 🍺👏

Throughout the years, Tom and the entire No Label team have been steadfast partners of VFW Post 9182 and the Katy veteran community. 🇺🇸 VFW Post 9182 was proud to take part in today’s City of Katy Annual Rice Festival Parade! 🎉

We had a great time walking the parade route and showing off our VFW Post 9182 float. It was awesome seeing so many members of the Katy community out along the route! We especially enjoyed handing out candy to the kids 🍬 and passing out American flags 🇺🇸 along the way.

Thank you to everyone who came out, waved, cheered, and helped make today such a great event. We’re already looking forward to doing it again next year!

And the fun isn’t over yet—we’ll see everyone next weekend at the Katy Rice Festival! Stop by and say hello to your local VFW veterans! 🇺🇸
