Mistake number six as a new shop owner was not leaving enough time for all the other things that need to get done in a small business besides working the cash register. I calculated out about twenty hours a week of extra time needed on average to get all the work done that needs your attention. And if you are working long store hours, you still need to find time for the rest. So instead of working sixty hour weeks, take yourself off the schedule a bit more. You’ve got this.

Mistake number three as a new store owner. Make sure your storage is as close as possible to your store. Because you are now entering the box apocalypse. Really. It’s a lot. And you don’t want to waste all your time going from one location to the next if you can help it.
