Thank you to everyone who joined us for our story slam! We appreciate everyone who shared a story and our amazing judges! It was great to hear such amazing stories of wildlife encounters, and to share a night of art, laughter and community. Thank you to julie davis AIS, AWA, OPA for sharing a little about her plein air work, and sharing the story behind “String Lake Pines”.

William Alther’s lifelong study of wildlife is at the heart of his work. With a degree in wildlife biology and 13 years in the zoology department at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, Bill brings an informed eye and deep appreciation for animals to every painting. His knowledge of wildlife shines through in the way he captures their form, character, and individual personalities.
