ArtMix ArtMix (formerly VSA Indiana) ArtMix transforms the lives of people with disabilities through the creation of art.

We fulfill our mission through a series of arts programs led by 20+ professional Teaching Artists who provide programming in schools, community centers, hospitals, and on-site in our adaptive arts studios. As a statewide nonprofit, ArtMix partners with people and organizations around the state to provide local access to accessible arts. Ongoing partnerships are currently based in Columbus, Evansvi

lle, and Muncie. Collectively these programs serve more than 6,000 people annually. Our primary focus is people with disabilities, however, we take an inclusive approach to implement programs and include a variety of people with and without disabilities.

❌ Myth: ArtMix is Medicaid funded.
✅ Fact: ArtMix is an independent nonprofit organization supported through donors, grants, partnerships, and community support.

While we provide accessible arts programming for people with disabilities throughout central Indiana, we are not Medicaid funded and do not provide any healthcare services.

Meet Tyler! 👋🏼

Tyler joined ArtMix Community Classes after graduating high school in 2024 and has become a staple of our clay studio community!

Tyler enjoys using images for inspiration and loves creating animals, food, and portraits out of clay. He looks forward to coming to class each week and appreciates the support of his Teaching Artists, who help him problem solve and bring his creative ideas life.

When asked what ArtMix means to him, Tyler shared that it is “a place full of collections of art made by different types of artists.” Through his time in class, he has learned the importance of keeping his workspace organized while also finding a balance between socializing with friends and focusing on his artwork.

Tyler brings positivity, enthusiasm, and joy to every class, and we are so grateful he has chosen ArtMix as part of his weekly routine. We can’t wait to see what he creates next! ✨
