Since Saturday KidsArt takes place on Halloween this year, HMA is encouraging participants on October 31 to wear their costumes to Saturday KidsArt that day from 1 to 3 p.m.

Saturday KidsArt is free because of the generous sponsorship of Hoops Family Children's Hospital.

Saturday KidsArt is an art activity designed for children in kindergarten through fifth grade. The first art activity begins at 1 p.m. The second art activity begins at 2 p.m. It is OK to participate in one or both art activities, and it is not necessary to register in advance for Saturday KidsArt.

HMA will present director Katie Dellamaggiore’s documentary film titled “Small Town Universe” on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2026, at 6 p.m. on the big screen in HMA's Grace Rardin Doherty Auditorium.

Admission to this 4th Tuesday Tour Event is free. Tuesdays are free admission days at HMA. Tuesday hours at HMA are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

A question-and-answer session with NASA Solar System Ambassador Ellie White, who is featured in the 90-minute documentary, will follow the showing of the film. Deana White, who is Ellie White’s mom and in the film, will also take part in the question-and-answer session.

Because of the length of the film, which focuses on Green Bank, West Virginia, and the Green Bank Telescope, and the question-and-answer session that follows, refreshments will not be served at the event. However, while supplies last, a small bag of treats will be available for visitors to take home after the event.

“The Huntington Museum of Art is so pleased to welcome NASA Solar System Ambassador Ellie White back for this film showing,” said HMA Director of Education Cindy Dearborn. “HMA is also grateful to the producers of ‘Small Town Universe’ for allowing us to present this documentary.”
