Today marks an incredibly special occasion! Not only do we get to celebrate , but we are also celebrating Molly the Museum Dog on her 9th birthday! 🥳🍰
Molly was adopted by the FASNY Museum of Firefighting on Dalmatian Day in 2017 as a puppy. Nine years later, she has become a beloved member of our Museum family and the star of the Museum, brightening the days of guests and creating memorable moments for all.
June celebrates not only Molly's birthday but also the birthday of our newest canine educator, Greta the Detector Dog. Thanks to Hi-TEC K9 Academy, Training/Boarding, Greta is a certified therapy dog working with Molly at the Museum. She is currently training with her handler, Mike, to demonstrate how arson dogs detect accelerants.
The Museum is incredibly grateful to have such devoted companions as our mascots. Both Molly and Greta have the remarkable ability to brighten our days, and we're so thankful we get to share them with the community. So, we invite all of you to join us in celebrating both Molly and Greta's birthdays on National Mascot Day ❤️
