In addition to the Texas Aviation Hall of Fame, the 130,000 square foot museum is home to a flying collection of rare and historic commercial, general aviation and military aircraft. Guests can experience the wonder of flight in a warbird ride and get hands-on in the high-tech Aviation Learning Center and Flight Academy.

Traveling in style! ✈️✨ Ever wonder what came in a Continental Airlines first-class toiletry kit in the 1980s and 1990s?

The kit featured in our limited-time exhibit, Made in Texas: 116 Years of Texas Aviation History, offers a glimpse into luxury air travel with French toiletries, including Fluocaril mouthwash, glass bottles of Miss Dior perfume and Dior Eau Sauvage cologne, plus travel essentials like branded toothbrushes, socks, and combs.

Airlines once used luxury amenities, fine dining, and custom playing cards to stand out from competitors. Discover how these experiences evolved and explore more of Texas aviation history. Made in Texas is on display now!

Upcoming Closure Notice! Our Heritage Hangar will be closed all day Thursday, Oct. 15, 2026, but the Waltrip Hangar and all other exhibits will remain open! Enjoy $3 off admission all day while you explore.

Please also note that Lone Star Flight Museum will be closed Friday, Oct. 16, 2026 for a private event. We’ll reopen with regular hours on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026, from 10 a.m.–5 p.m.

Planning your visit? This weeks hours are:
✈️Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
✈️Thursday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. - $3 off Admission (Heritage Hangar Closed, All other exhibits Open)
✈️ Friday - CLOSED
✈️Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
✈️Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

**Please note that the museum will be closed Friday for a private event.

Visit Saturday morning to watch our aircraft taxi out onto the ramp (weather permitting)!

We're proud to celebrate three of our Texas Aviation Hall of Fame members, Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger, Peggy A. Whitson, and Ross Perot, Jr., on their induction into the National Aviation Hall of Fame!

The induction ceremony took place on September 24 in Washington, D.C., honoring the Class of 2026. The National Aviation Hall of Fame is located in Dayton, Ohio.

Their incredible contributions to aviation and space exploration continue to inspire generations. Visit us to learn more about their achievements in our Texas Aviation Hall of Fame exhibit or online at lonestarflight.org!

On Saturday, Nov. 14, Lone Star Flight Museum will transform into New Orleans for an unforgettable black-tie optional evening honoring longtime museum supporters Lisa and Jerry Simon and their transformational impact on LSFM and the Greater Houston community.

You are invited to enjoy a night filled with jazz-inspired music, New Orleans flavors, dinner, dancing, live and silent auctions, and a special performance featuring the music of Billy Joel and Elton John starring Michael Cavanaugh. 🎷🥂
